Account Executive

The accounting and finance manager will be responsible for daily bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivables, payroll, assistance with end-of-month close, grant reporting, audit preparation, and other related duties as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in coordination with department heads.
  • Conduct regular forecasting to assess financial trends and variances.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of finance professionals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and procurement.
  • Manage cash flow by optimizing working capital, monitoring liquidity, and planning for financial needs.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, coordinating with audit teams and addressing findings.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation.Evaluate, select, and implement financial software and systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of financial data
  • Manage relationships with financial service providers, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Negotiate financial terms and agreements as needed.
  • Work with tax professionals to manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.

Skills, Expertise, and Qualifications -

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in finance and accounting roles 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Expertise in budget development and creating accurate financial forecasts to guide financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for efficient financial data management and analysis.
  • Expertise in identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing expenses, and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Adept at overseeing internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Skilled in effectively managing cash flow to optimize working capital and meet financial obligations.
