A PHP developer will assist in developing the web application logic on the backend components and integrates different plug-ins and frontend work with the applications, connecting third-party web services. This is a core PHP role that involves hard core coding.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Integration of data storage solutions 
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with SQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Create effective, flexible, reusable, testable, and scalable PHP code
• Analysis of application needs and website requirements from teams and clients
• Build design and layout of apps, websites
• Define, and maintain databases
• Create plug-ins, extensions
• Code maintenance and enhancement
• Payment gateway integration with eCommerce portals
• Set coding standards and connect applications with third-party web services

Skills, Expertise and Qualifications -

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science and a passion for programming
• 3-5 years of experience in PHP development 

Technical Skills:

• PHP CORE and frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
• Frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• PHP web frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, Yii
• Web servers and database languages
• Graphic design software
• Content management system
• Object-oriented PHP programming
• Code versioning tools like CVS, SVN, Git
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
• MVC design patterns
• Integration of databases and data sources into a unified system
